GLP-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1 RAs) supply disruption

A national patient safety has been issued relating to the shortage of the GLP-1 RAs. A link to the alert is here. It summarises the actions for clinicians and prescribers that need to be completed as soon as possible and not later than 18th October 2023. Of particular note it is asking that affected patients are proactively identified and prioritised for review based on criteria in the clinical guidance Joint PCDS and ABCD guidance: GLP-1 receptor agonist national shortage – PCDS (pcdsociety.org).
